Went a little overboard on this image. I focused on mimicking textures with brushes, and painting them together, instead of using photos for texture overlays.

Brushes. Finding some new ones, and tweaking them. Cities from a different world. Tried drawing the “bridge between 2 cities” from another point of view…
Been kinda slow at updating, very very busy. My mind has been all over, and trying to study photos has been difficult. I wasn’t very happy with the first one. Photo taken at a park around here. The 2nd just something silly, WastelandWeekend is on my mind. The 3rd one I started with a photo, but branched off into its own thing. Playing around and trying to draw buildings/windows more square/even/uniform, without spending a bunch of time over making it perfect. The last one, playing around with some brushes I made, to pump out creepy buildings…FunTimes!
The next post will also be in a couple days, and the bunch from over them..Company this weekend!
just a quick study for the night. Recovering from a busy weekend…
Dreams. First time I am drawing one of these as soon as I roll out of bed. But I wan’t to get it as things are still fresh. Things started out happy and floaty. This dream kinda reminded me of “Flower” in a way…just how happy things started, and the movement I felt. Then as i got closer to these shadows, things became darker and darker around me. I recall looking up and seeing something like this.
Not really sure, but I wanted to draw a fallen tree for as a bridge across a waterfall.
Comic panel background. But I think I am going to rework this some. Its a trading post, under a fallen highway.

Hot springs? Trying something else. I didn’t feel very happy with these. The layered ground is hard to draw, nor can I find any references photos that speak to me.
Something simple today, and moody. All imagination today.
Some kinda porcine creature…
Took yesterdays speedpainting, and pushed it a little more. Adding some overgrowth and vegetation. Digging though more photos of urban decay from Moscow, I found something a little more challenging to study.
Tomorrow I may take more panels from my comic to work on…

Behind by a couple of days. Distracted by re-vamping my personal website, and getting it ready for when I start drawing comic pages. One of these paintings is from observation, the other imagination.
Will do another 2 tomorrow and be back on track.
